Drs. Ron and Sharon Harris
Ron and Sharon Harris opened the doors of Porters Neck Veterinary Hospital on March 15, 1999. Sharon, (originally from Lexington, Massachusetts), met Ron, (from Southport, NC) freshman year at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. After working for two years in Goldsboro, NC, Ron and Sharon came to Wilmington to work at the Wilmington Animal Emergency Clinic for two more years before opening in the Porters Neck Shopping Center. Five years later, the hospital was moved to its current facility. Along the way, their two daughters, Rachel and Rebecca, were born.
Dr. Rebecca Simmons
Dr. Rebecca Simmons originally joined the practice in 2000 as a veterinary assistant. Upon her graduation from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, she rejoined as a veterinarian. Rebecca is originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Dr. Stan Griffith
Dr. Stan Griffith attended Clemson and University of Georgia. He practiced in Goldsboro, NC until partial retirement. Dr. Griffith now practices 
part time doing relief work in coastal N.C. and works with us onThursdays. He lives with his wife, Debbie, in Surf City.
